Never never. never spray silicone lubricant on anything in the engine
compartment. The slightest bit of silicone will permanently damage the
oxygen sensors. Instead, use an oil-based spray lubricant such as WD-40 to
lubricate throttle linkage. This tip pertains to any car with oxygen
sensors.

Ed note: WD-40 is a temporary
lubricant. Use something that is permanent, but doesn't
contain silicone. Silicone also makes it impossible to touch
up the paint.
