Toys for the Children at Packard Hospital
By Phil Endliss/Treasurer
For as long as I have been in the club, we have had a tradition of collecting stuffed animals at our annual Holiday Party for the children at the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford and over the past several years, the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
Ever since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, both Ronald McDonald House and the Hospital stopped accepting physical gifts. Instead, the Hospital established a site where organizations such as ours can accept monetary contributions with the funds being used by the hospital to purchase the toys. Last year, JAG was the third largest donor in the Bay Area, providing $5,250 in contributions from our members.
Once again, our club has established a page at this site with the initial goal of providing the hospital with at least $2,500 and hopefully exceeding last year. The link to our donation page is: https://my.supportlpch.org/fundraiser/2520284.
Please go to the site and make whatever donation you can. Let’s keep this wonderful tradition alive. Most of us have been very fortunate throughout our lives and this small generous act will bring significant joy to many children and their families who are not nearly as fortunate.
JAG is Northern California's Home for Jaguar Motor Car Enthusiasts
JAG, the Jaguar Associate Group, is the Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) officially sanctioned club for Jaguar enthusiasts and their families in the Greater San Francisco area including San Francisco, Silicon Valley and all communities in the North Bay, East Bay, South Bay and Monterey Bay areas. We were one of the first Jaguar clubs formed with meetings being held continuously since our formation in 1955. The annual membership dues for JAG includes membership in JCNA.
With a large, diverse membership owning over 325 Jaguar cars from pre-war to today's Jaguar vehicles, we offer something for all Jaguar lovers in the area.
Every month we hold at least one day event as well as several overnight drives during the year. Throughout the year we have drives, social events, museum visits, tech sessions and a People’s Choice Concours. We also hold events in participation with other car clubs.
JAG members receive our newsletter, the JAGazette, monthly and the Jaguar Journal, JCNA's magazine, six times per year.
