A British Octoberfest

On October 22nd the club will do a drive, have a British lunch and a NOMINATIONS meeting too!  We will be meeting in front of the Old Port Lobster Shack in the Ladera Shopping Center, at 3130 Alpine Road (within ½ mile off I-280) at 9:00AM for a 10:00 departure. There is an open coffee shop for coffee and baked goods and lots of outdoor tables in front of the Lobster Shack.  Make sure you get there in time to chat with members.  After a quick driver meeting, we will begin the drive right at 10:00am.

Our drive will take us up Kings Mountain up to Skyline Blvd, then we’ll go down the hill on Hwy 84 past La Honda through the Redwoods to a quick stop at San Gregorio’s General Store.  We’ll be taking Highway 1 north along the coast until we reach our lunch and final stop at Cameron’s Pub in Half Moon Bay (cameronspub.net). We’ll have the entire outdoor patio to ourselves (It’s a covered patio).  You’ll be able to order off the menu and pay on individual receipts (couples). Cameron’s has great service and food. A very British Pub for our English cars.  Their very English double-decker Bus has been renovated and now open for you to enjoy too. Cameron’s is located at 1410 S. After lunch Dorothy Smith will introduce the candidates from the Nominations committee, allow them to speak and accept any additional nominations.

After lunch you can head home or enjoy an extended drive up or down Highway 1.  Since it’s October there are lots of pumpkin patches you could stop at along the way.  More information on that to come.
