JAG Sonoma-Napa Wine Country Getaway

Time: Meet at 9:30 and leave at 10:30 departure

Tour: This is an overnight tour through the Sonoma and Napa Wine Country.  We will meet at Northgate One Terra Linda in San Rafael and our first stop will be at Cornerstone Sonoma where we can enjoy a rest stop and some good coffee and pastries. Then we’ll head out towards Napa. There you will discover the peaceful and serene beauty of Chiles Valley, Napa Valley and Maxville Winery.  (Make sure you check out their video on their website, www.maxvillelakewines.com) Only a 15-minute drive from the Silverado Trail, at the estate take-in breathtaking panoramic views of native hillside that frame the stunning winery architecture and gardens. We’ll partake of a delicious box lunch provided by the well-known Oakville Grocery. Wine tastings are also available or just buy by the glass.  After lunch and our tasting, we will continue our drive through wine country and finish up at the Geyserville Inn in Geyserville for the night. Our drive to the Inn is over Howell Mountain and it’s spectacular! Dinner will be at the Catelli’s Italian restaurant (You’ll be able to pay with a credit card) and we’ll be taking a short stroll to this well-known restaurant (Lady Gaga ate there when she gave a concert in Sonoma).

On Friday the tour will continue through the world-famous Alexander Valley and finally reach San Rafael, and La Toscana restaurant for a delicious lunch. Thats where our drive will end.

Thursday: 

• 9:30am Northgate One in Terra Linda/ meet up
• 10:30am Departure
• 12:30 Maxville Winery Chiles Valley Rd, Napa
• 4:00 Geyserville Inn in Geyserville
• 6:30 or 7:30 Dinner Catelli’s or Diavola’s in Geyserville

Friday: 

• Breakfast on your own
• 10:00am back roads drive to San Rafael
• 12:30 La Toscana for lunch

Rates are in the $250 range plus fees. But sign up asap, as rooms are limited.

Maxville Winery/Oakville Grocery Lunch Choices:

Napa Box Lunch: Choice of artisan sandwich, Pasta Salad, fresh fruit, and a freshly baked cookie.

1. Roast Turkey: Hobbs turkey, garlic aioli, Journeyman bacon, tomato, greens, sprouts, artisan bread.

2. Veggie: Red Piquillo peppers, Piment d’ville feta spread, roasted leeks, sprouts, greens, artisan bread.

3. Roast Beef: Roast Beef, basil aioli, tomato, red onion, olive tapenade, greens, artisan bread.

4. BLTA: Journeyman bacon, greens, tomato, avocado, garlic aioli, artisan bread.

Cost:  For lunch on Thursday from the Oakville Grocery, for all reservations received by September 15th the cost will be discounted to $40 (the club will subsidize $10 per person). Those signing up & paying after 9/15/24 the cost is $50.00 per person.  

For lunch on Friday at La Toscana, the cost is $65 per person. This includes a 3 course lunch: Caesar Salad, Choice of: Tortellini Toscana, Prawns Toscana, Chicken Marsala, Beef Short Rib, Dessert: Tiramisu, includes ice tea or coffee.

FINAL DATE TO SIGN UP IS SEPTEMBER 21, 2024.
