JAG Sonoma Wine Country Escape

This is an overnight tour through the Sonoma Wine Country.

There is no cost for members and a $10 fee for guests.

We will meet at the Bagel Street Café in San Rafael 10:00 am and depart at 10:30 am. Our first stop will be at the Marin French Cheese Factory, where we can enjoy some wonderful cheeses and other refreshments. We’ll be driving on some new roads and passing through San Geronimo, Lagunitas, Forest Knolls, and the glorious redwoods in Samuel P. Taylor State Park.

We will leave the Cheese Factory and head out through the picturesque Chileno Valley and out towards Dillon Beach. There are some incredible panoramic views of Sonoma County countryside and even the Pacific Ocean. We will cut back inland and will have lunch at the Gravenstein Grill (pre-paid and choose your entrée.)

Following lunch at the Gravenstein Grill, we will head out through the vineyards of Sonoma Valley and stop at a small family-owned winery for some optional wine tasting. We will continue our drive through wine country and finish up at the Geyserville Inn for the night. Dinner will be at the Geyserville Grill adjacent to the Inn (you’ll be able to pay with a credit card-total will be divided between the cards.)

On Friday, the tour will continue through the world-famous Alexander Valley and, finally, lunch at Moylan’s Brewery and Restaurant in Novato before heading home. Lunch will be on one check so PLEASE BRING CASH (not just 20’s) $$$ to pay your share.

Contact the Inn directly and make your own reservations for your preferred type of room. Rates are in the $225 range plus fees. Sign up ASAP, as rooms are limited.

Wine tasting will be paid for individually at the winery.

• G.G. BURGER-Sonoma Mountain Beef, G.G. Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato and Onions. House baked bun, bread & butter pickles, French Fries
• PULLED PORK SANDWICH-BBQ sauce, coleslaw, fresh baked bun.
• SMOKED CHICKEN SANDWICH-goguette roll, pesto,arugula,pickled onion.
