On March 9th, we have a wonderful drive, in store for you for March Madness. It has a new starting point and a shorter but very exciting drive. From Santa Cruz we will drive the most beautiful 28 miles imaginable up the Empire Grade, to 17 North and on to lunch at Nonno’s Barbecue.

About the event
On March 9th, we have a wonderful drive, in store for you for March Madness. It has a new starting point and a shorter but very exciting drive. We will meet at 10:00AM on Ocean Ave at the Santa Cruz Courthouse parking lot right across from the Jack in the Box at 640 Ocean Avenue which is an extension of Highway 17. Easy peasy. The club will provide DONUTS from Saratoga (and maybe even raisins from Fresno). JACK IN THE BOX has restrooms and coffee but be careful and use the crosswalk. We will then do the most beautiful 28 miles imaginable with only five turns starting on Water Avenue and up the Empire Grade past UCSC to the Felton Turnoff. This ticket includes access to the event and a pizza & salad buffet lunch at Nonno's BBQ Restaurant. Beer, wine and soft drinks and Marianne’s Ice cream bars are available but not included.
