South Bay Drive and Lunch

This drive will start from Niles Boulevard in Niles, Fremont. It will cover about 40 miles of East Bay hills and end in a YET to be named restaurant in the San Jose area.

We will meet at 9:30 AM in the Parking Lot on Niles Blvd directly opposite 37417 Niles Boulevard which is the SILENT FILM MUSEUM in the EDISON THEATRE. We will depart from Niles Boulevard at 10:30 am. The route will proceed through the visually and historically interesting Niles Canyon Road, pass under I 680 and traverse the Calaveras Road high above the Calaveras Reservoir. This road is quite winding in places and lots of fun to drive in a Jaguar.  By way of Felter Road the route connects to Sierra Road and descends into the valley 2000 ft below. Once down on the valley floor we will drive to the restaurant for lunch. Arrival time will be approximately 12:30 pm.
