2009 XK Convertible Rear Window Falling Out.
Fixing a Loose rear window in a Jaguar XK Convertible
I purchased a low-milage 2009 XK convertible on Bring A Trailoe and, after fettling a few minor issues, was very happy with this great-value car. I did have one lingering issue: a rattle from the rear when the top was up. When out with my daughter one day, she spotted that the issue was the heated rear window becoming detached from the soft top.
Replacing the soft top was not in the budget so I attempted to correct the issue myself.
First / break-in oil change
2,100 miles on my F-Type now. Had Livermore Jaguar do its first oil change a few weeks ago. Glad I did instead of waiting to the "recommended" 16,000 miles (YIKES!).
Detailing Notes from Cullen Wetmore, Diamond Car Care Systems, January 13 2024
Car Washing
If water is not available, use ONR (Optimum No Rinse) Car Wash to clean car and a clean microfiber. Yellow Costco Microfibers are fine. Don’t use downy in the dryer with them. ONR can also be added to water and does not require rinse.
Use Clean towels with no additions or softeners in the wash. Wash the towels alone. Do not reuse a used towel.
Always use a clean microfiber cloth. Fold the cloth into quarters and use a quarter at a time. Put your hand in the middle of the square.
Use a flat side not fluffy side.
Feel the pad against the paint. Do not press hard.
An addendum to the Deatiling Workshop.
Member Al Boasberg attended the workshop and subsequntly had Diamond Car Car Systems apply cermanic coating to his other car a 1970 Rover 3500S. Al is very poleased with results.

Thanks! Will do.
